Tim brings over 25 years of expansive architect experience to the team as a design lead, client consultant and construction administrator. Serving a variety of high-profile clients in the healthcare, tech, corporate and financial services markets, Tim has mastered the ability of project management with a high level of communication skills, turning problem-solving into an art form! We are charmed by his charisma and calm nature and think our clients will find him a pleasure to work with.  As an adjunct professor for environmental systems for 10 years at Wentworth Institute of Technology, he is committed to sustainable design and environmental conservation.

Marilyn Shen

Marilyn has over 20 years of experience focusing on building a better workplace environment for organizations and employees. As a principal and designer, she has developed strategies that engage, educate, and empower organizations and employees to design compelling workplace environments. She has partnered closely with leadership teams and key stakeholders to understand goals and requirements and developed solutions that advance workplace initiatives and drive positive culture change and outcomes. Marilyn leverages this experience both within TRIA and with the firm’s clients.

Edwin Hargrave

Ed has over 30 years of diverse architectural design experience in research/educational science buildings, as well as in a variety of other biotechnology and science related facilities. As a science and technology planner, he has led numerous multi-million ground up science facilities from programming through construction to successful completion. He is well versed in the rigorous process that technically complex projects require at all levels and phases of design and construction. His experience in programming, lab planning, and design affords him the leadership required to ensure fulfillment of project goals in all phases.

As President & CEO of TRIA, Sherwood provides leadership for all aspects of the company’s operations with an emphasis on long-term goals and growth. He also brings an innate ability to comprehend the technical aspects of construction and design as well as understand a client’s business and project needs. These attributes have led to successful completion of many complex projects, as well as earned loyalty from clients, engineers, and contractors alike.

Sherwood has primarily focused on the life sciences industry, leading the construction of the spaces that allow scientific breakthroughs. He remains focused on staying up-to-date on all trends in the life sciences industry.

Dan specializes in the science and technology industry, and as a problem solver, he works on many complex projects that require heavy attention to detail and a keen sense of design. Dan is also a key team member, interfacing with clients, end users, consultants, and contractors on projects, keeping the team on task, from conceptual through construction. In addition to producing documents as a senior project designer, Dan is focused on developing and implementing efficient and good design practices for the entire TRIA office.
