Congress Street Tower

Congress Street Tower

The Rose Kennedy Greenway was created when Boston’s Big Dig buried an elevated highway, transformed the downtown with an “Emerald Necklace” of public parks. Existing buildings lining the Greenway were oriented away from what was previously an unsightly space, with their loading areas now facing the park instead of their main entrances.

TRIA’s Congress Street Tower will be one of the first buildings to truly FACE the Greenway. Our design concept uses the existing buildings as the foundation for a bright, modern new tower, representing growth, life, and new identity overlooking the garden it now belongs in.
