Job Summary
The Senior Architectural Designer role is a Most Senior Level Architect/Designer/Manager that provides oversight and support for the overall development and implementation of multiple architectural projects. This registered architect (with rare exceptions) will be responsible for management of project as well as provide technical and design. This role reports to a Principal.
We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following:
- Ability to multi-task 3-5 projects at different phases of design.
- Provide leadership to project team(s). Promote and maintain a professional environment in which team members are motivated to perform at peak effectiveness.
- Team-oriented, excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Provide design vision, philosophy, and strategy for project(s).
- Create project design(s), solution(s), and plan(s) for all phases of a project and ensure design intent is maintained through documentation and construction.
- Maintains creative design throughout all phases and champions design priorities.
- Exhibits design influence across many projects and develops junior designers.
- Excellent design sense, good judgment of colors/space, and detail-oriented
- Supports a culture of excellence and contributes to a collaborative environment that rewards teamwork, mentorship, best-in-practice development and pride in workmanship
Required Qualifications
Education
- Professional degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited program
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates)
- Licensed Architect (with rare exceptions)
- 10 + years relevant experience
- Experience with and knowledge of construction drawings
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Proficient in programs including Revit, Sketch Up or 3D computer rendering, Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, and Newforma, Prefer knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint and Bluebeam REVU
- Comfortable with hand sketches
- LEED AP & specialty encouraged
