New Architectural Firm Tria Launches in Boston

Today, architects Sherwood Butler and Jeannie Pierce Thacker established Tria, a Boston-based architectural practice that will design laboratories and other facilities for local science and technology organizations. Butler, Tria’s managing principal, and Thacker, principal, are former principals at Perkins+Will’s Boston office. They also worked together at Boston-based Signer Harris Architects, which Perkins+Will acquired in 2012. At their previous firms, the architects designed for life sciences clients. In addition to her design experience, Thacker also has a scientific background, with research positions at Harvard Medical School and Takeda Pharmaceuticals.
