With this re-design, lean lab strategies were implemented, along with consideration of increased communication between lab and office. The design consisted of a 100 percent open office concept and a transition zone between lab and office with non-bookable phone and huddle rooms. A mother’s room was also implemented into the space.
The pilot oral drug manufacturing suite contained a cleanroom and analytical labs including open lab and lab support (mass spec, microscopy, and freezer farm).
