The goal of this 21,000 SF renovation was to promote employee collaboration in order to support future projects at this location. During the design process, existing lab issues were identified and solutions were developed in order to increase efficiency, such as installing modular lab benches and workstations for optimal flexibility. The office component consisted of collaboration areas and an open concept design. Glass was added throughout the space to increase employee visibility and the presence of natural light. Adjacencies between lab and office were thoughtful, allowing different groups to interact throughout the day.
Sherwood Butler was Managing Principal of this project at Perkins+Will where this project was completed.
